The CNY Rotary Public Image Committee had an active and productive year in 2025–26. Throughout the year, we provided training opportunities both as a committee and in collaboration with district leaders on topics including social media, artificial intelligence, accessibility, and the important connection between membership growth and public image.
One of our most successful initiatives was the Public Image Grant Program. Demand exceeded the funds originally allocated, resulting in clubs across the district receiving support for exciting new public image projects. This overwhelming response also demonstrated the growing need for public image resources throughout our district. As a result, additional funding has been dedicated to Public Image grants for 2026–27. Thank you to all the clubs that participated and helped build this momentum. Watch for details on the next round of grants, which will launch this fall.
Our committee also created a new landing page on the CNY Rotary website and paired it with a district-wide social media campaign. The goal of this initiative is not only to increase awareness of Rotary but also to connect interested individuals with clubs in their local communities. We are pleased to report that the campaign has already helped generate new membership leads and has resulted in a couple of new members joining Rotary.
In addition, we continue to share club stories and accomplishments through the CNY Rotary website and social media channels, helping amplify the incredible work being done across our district. These stories not only raise public awareness but also inspire other clubs with new ideas and opportunities. We encourage every club to continue submitting news, photos, and success stories to news@cnyrotary.org. We truly want to hear from you. And as always, if you need assistance with any public image initiative, our committee is happy to help.
Looking Ahead
We are excited about several new projects for the coming year. One initiative currently in development is a district template center that will provide customizable resources such as rack cards, business cards, event materials, and recruitment tools. These templates will make it easier for clubs to create professional, Rotary-branded, compliant materials for membership outreach and community awareness.
We are also seeking volunteers to serve in new Regional Reporter roles. These individuals will work closely with Area Representatives and local clubs to identify compelling stories, assist clubs in sharing their impact, and contribute content to the CNY Rotary News Network.
