Requirements to apply:
- Complete the application by July 27th
- You need to have served in at least two leadership positions in your club (club board, club leader, committee chair, etc.)
- You must have the proper ID and be able to travel to Winnipeg, Canada to be present Friday, Sept 19 - Sunday, Sept 21
- You must commit to attending all breakout and plenary sessions that are part of your program while at the summit
- You will need to be able to cover all registration, hotel and travel costs up front, and submit receipts for hotel and registration
- reimbursement after the summit (up to $725)
- Upon your return, you will be expected to explore ways in which you can get involved as a leader in CNY that would be rewarding for you
What's on the agenda?
You would travel to Winnipeg during the day Friday, Sept 19th and your registration starts with dinner that evening. There is usually a fun event that evening that raises money for The Rotary Foundation and time to socialize. Then you would be with your Future Leaders group all day Saturday. It will be an energizing, inspiring, educational day, jam-packed with content and group bonding!
Sunday is a half day of general sessions to wrap up the summit by late morning.
All meals are included on site from Friday dinner through Sunday breakfast.
How much does it cost?
CNY will reimburse up to $725 per Future Leader, which should cover your hotel and registration fees. Attendees would have to cover their airfare (or however you choose to travel to Winnipeg).
Reimbursement is not paid until after you have attended the event, so you would need to be able to front all of these costs. Upon return, you would send your hotel and registration receipts, along with a form we will provide, to our finance team to get reimbursed.
Members could consider asking their club for financial support since they will benefit from the experience as well.
When will I hear back about this application?
The CNY Executive Committee will review the applications and confirm selections by the end of the month. Regrettably, due to budget, we may not be able to send all applicants. All will be notified as soon as the selection process is complete. All accepted applicants will be encouraged to register and book hotel and flights as soon as possible.
