LET'S GET TOGETHER AT CONFERENCE

This year's House of Friendship will be called Rotary Row and will be prominently placed in the hall space surrounding our main ballroom at the conference venue. Rotary Row is a social space meant for connecting with fellow clubs, Rotary programs, and the district committees that provide support to all clubs and members.

Read on for more details about how to get a spot in our limited space for your display and what you can do to make it fun and memorable. Make sure you note our new scavenger hunt feature!

HELPFUL TIPS FOR MEMORABLE DISPLAYS

PUT SOMEONE IN CHARGE

Please ask a club member to take on this project and make sure this person or someone else from your club can attend conference to set it up. Ideally, someone should be available at the table during down time at conference to answer any questions and engage members as they visit your booth.

FEATURE YOUR TOP EVENT

What's your most impactful service project? What is the most successful program your club has implemented in the community? What is it you want to share with the district that is unique to your club? That should be the focus of your space.

DON'T FORGET YOUR SCAVENGER HUNT PHRASE

Make sure you are part of this year's new scavenger hunt feature that encourages attendees to visit all the tables by incorporating your three-word theme or mantra into your display. Need help? Use the contact form on this page to reach our Rotary Row coordinators and they can assist with identifying the best phrase based on your display's theme.

TAKE THE OPPORTUNITY TO NETWORK

If your club is looking for a partner on a project or a grant, this is a great place to share that information. Be sure the person staffing your booth is able to speak about the project, answer questions, and make meaningful connections so you can make it happen!

JAZZ UP YOUR TRI-FOLD

Most of us have put together a tri-fold poster board with images and information about our club and our events. This is a great place to start, but don't stop there! What can you do to make it more dynamic?
Here are some ideas:
ADD A QUIZ
Can you come up with fun facts about lobsters for your LobsterFest or the history of literacy programs in Rotary for your dictionary project? Try creating a fun Q&A for people to ponder while browsing your booth.

ADD SOMETHING TACTILE
Is your booth about Youth Exchange? Hang up a jacket covered in pins for people to look at up close.
Did your fundraiser benefit the food pantry? Give us a stack of non-perishables as a visual.
Think of actual item(s) that you could put on your display that speak to your event and bring them. Let people pick them up and interact with them, and it will make your club's message more memorable.

TEACH US SOMETHING
Did your club raise $10,000 at a fundraiser last year? Great job! But don't just show us pictures from the day of the event, show us HOW you did it! Share the letter you sent to sponsors, the press releases you used to get the word out, the schedule you filled with volunteers to pull off the big day, etc.
If you run a backpack program, tell us how you coordinate your volunteers, get donations, make connections with the school district.
This is a space for sharing and learning, so what better way to empower another club to be successful than to share your recipe for success in detail?

SHOW US YOUR IMPACT
Don't just show us pictures of people eating at your spaghetti dinner or running in your 5K. Show us what you did with the money you raised. Whenever possible, avoid the check presentation photo and show us people of action - meaningful images of the programs and people you have impacted.
If you implemented a program, share something about that. If you distributed the funds to other organizations providing necessary services in your community, tell us about those contributions. Help us visualize how your club impacts your community!
