What Is the Positive Peace Conversations Program?
Led by experts from Mediators Beyond Borders International (MBBI), this program equips participants with the skills and confidence to lead respectful, productive conversations on challenging topics from local conflicts to global issues. The initiative is grounded in Rotary’s values and aims to cultivate a culture of understanding, collaboration, and inclusive service.

Participants will:
- Learn facilitation techniques to foster constructive dialogue
- Practice co-leading conversations on real issues within clubs and communities
- Receive a certification from MBBI upon successful completion
- Join a growing network of peacebuilders across CNY and around the world.
What You’ll Gain:
- Leadership development through expert-led training and coaching

What It Takes:
To complete the Positive Peace Conversations training and earn MBBI certification, participants
will commit to:
- 14 hours of live online training with MBBI consultants:
- Oct 28, 30, Nov 5, 6 from 7–9pm; Nov 15 from 12–6pm
- 20 hours of real-world practice facilitating conversations in clubs or communities
- 3–6 hours of coaching/mentoring from experienced MBBI facilitators
- Engagement with the PPC facilitator network
Cost:
The cost to participate is $200 per person. CNY Rotary will cover $100 for the first 25 to sign up with participants contributing $100. We do not want cost to be a barrier to participation, so please connect with us to discuss any unique scenarios or special requests.
